Arrive in Hanoi and transfer to your hotel located in the Old Quarter or nearby area. After a smooth check-in and some rest, spend the late afternoon walking around Hoan Kiem Lake where local families gather in the evenings. Enjoy a simple dinner featuring Vietnamese staples in a casual setting before returning to your hotel for a good night’s sleep.

Start your day with a leisurely breakfast before heading out to explore the bustling Old Quarter of Hanoi. Walk through narrow streets filled with colorful shops, street vendors, and the scent of sizzling local snacks. Visit a traditional local market where you can see vibrant produce, handicrafts, and daily life in action. Mid-morning, hop into a traditional cyclo for a slow, scenic ride through the Old Quarter’s lively streets—an engaging and fun way for the whole family to soak in the local atmosphere without tiring little legs. Stop along the way for street photography or a local snack break. After lunch, return to your hotel to rest and refresh. In the early evening, enjoy a traditional water puppet show—an entertaining cultural performance set on water, combining live music, storytelling, and colorful puppetry. Finish the day with a relaxed dinner and return to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out and travel to Halong Bay by private transfer. Upon arrival, board a comfortable overnight cruise that caters to families. Settle into your cabin and enjoy a lunch onboard as the boat glides past stunning limestone islands. In the afternoon, explore a large limestone cave with guided paths and lighting. Afterwards, paddle a kayak or ride a bamboo boat through a calm lagoon surrounded by towering cliffs. Upon arrival, check in and take a short rest at your hotel before beginning a relaxed afternoon of exploring. Start with a visit to the Saigon Central Post Office, where the grand colonial architecture and mosaic tiles are both visually impressive and easy to appreciate. Just across the street, take a walk past the red-brick Notre-Dame Cathedral, where the open square in front offers space to sit and enjoy a coconut drink or light snack. Continue your stroll to Nguyen Hue Walking Street, a wide, open pedestrian zone lined with flower displays, fountains, and modern buildings—a great place for kids to run around and for the family to soak in the atmosphere. Take a break at a nearby café or street food stall before heading to a local market such as Ben Thanh, where you can browse colorful handicrafts, souvenirs, and snacks.

After a scenic drive, board a motorboat that takes you through wide rivers and narrow canals lined with lush greenery. Stop at a small island to see how coconut candy is made and enjoy seasonal fruits and herbal tea served by a local family. Continue with a hand-rowed sampan ride through quiet waterways shaded by nipa palms. After a simple lunch featuring fresh local produce, explore a village where you can walk around the gardens or relax in a hammock before heading back to the city in the late afternoon. 

Spend your final morning enjoying a relaxed breakfast, followed by some free time for packing or a short walk around the neighborhood. If time allows, stop at a local market or souvenir shop to pick up a few last-minute gifts or snacks. Depending on your flight schedule, your driver will transfer you to the airport for your journey home, bringing your family adventure in Vietnam to a warm and fulfilling close.
